Airport taxi from Stuttgart: About 2¼ hours on the motorway – the route

From the centre and the northern districts Google routes the trip north and then mostly along the A6 towards the Rhine-Main area; from the Filder districts the first part runs on the A8. Without traffic that is about 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 25 minutes. Roadworks and rush hour around Heilbronn, Mannheim or Frankfurt can add considerably more – plan a generous buffer.

ICE or car?

Some ICE trains from Stuttgart main station stop at Frankfurt Airport’s long-distance station. If you travel light and the timetable fits your flight, that is a good option. For an early flight, a family or a lot of luggage, the car from your door is often more relaxed.
