    The pedestrian zone cannot be driven into. For hotels in the old town we agree a point the car can reach, for example at a side street; 15 minutes of waiting are included in the price.

  • University and hospital

    For the Neuenheimer Feld campus or the university hospital, give the building or entrance – the site is large.

  • Main station and Bahnstadt

    The main station lies between the Weststadt and the Bahnstadt. Tell us which side you are waiting on.

  • Conference and hotel guests

    Guests can book themselves: hotel name and street are enough for the calculator. Invoices with company details are possible.

Airport taxi from Heidelberg: The A5 north – how long the drive takes

From every part of Heidelberg Google routes the trip along the A5 north to Frankfurt Airport. From the main station it takes about 58 minutes without traffic; from Ziegelhausen, Schlierbach or Emmertsgrund, add about ten minutes to reach the motorway. The A5 between Heidelberg and Frankfurt is busy at rush hour – treat travel times as a guide.

Your pickup time follows from your airline’s check-in advice plus a buffer for the A5. Terminal 1, 2, 3 and the long-distance station are each chosen separately in the calculator.

By train: depending on the connection

From Heidelberg main station, long-distance and regional trains run north; depending on the connection you change in Mannheim or Frankfurt for the airport. With heavy luggage, children or an early flight, the car from your door is the simpler option.

Can you pick me up at a hotel in the old town?

Yes. Because the Hauptstraße is a pedestrian zone, we agree a reachable point near your hotel. Please give the hotel name and street when you book.

Do you also pick up at the university hospital?

Yes. Give the building or entrance in the Neuenheimer Feld; the driver contacts you on arrival.

How early should I leave Heidelberg?

Allow about an hour of driving plus a buffer for the A5, then add your airline’s check-in time. We confirm the pickup time with you.

Do I get a booking confirmation?

Yes. Your online request is followed by our written confirmation by e-mail or messenger; only then is the ride binding. For hotel guests it also states the agreed pickup point.
